Everyone at Bayswater Strikers is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Nick Van Egmond.

Nick was a founding member of the club alongside his wife Pat. His contribution to the club and community can be measured by not only what he did, but how he did it; with a smile, with humour, welcoming and always wanting everyone to enjoy their time just as much as he did.

He served as president from 1996-2007, club sponsor, groundskeeper and was inducted as a life member in 2009.

Nick not only had a huge impact on players at the club, but was also instrumental in many others football journey through his involvement at Bayswater Indoor Soccer Centre, a place where many club members began their football journey.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Van Egmond family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing Nick through his vast contributions.
