About us

Bayswater Strikers Soccer Club, established 1996

The Bayswater Strikers Soccer Club was founded in 1996 by Nick and Pat Van Egmond and their family at Guy Turner Reserve. Over the years the club has fielded both senior men’s and women’s team in amateur leagues and Football Federation Victoria, winning multiple championships and other trophies.

Currently the club’s four men’s, two women’s, ten boys, three girls teams and Kickstart program (4-5yo) play in the Victorian Churches Football Association in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The club welcomes players of all levels of experience and ability looking to play competitive soccer at a club that supports each other and enjoys each other’s company. With a number of young children around the club, a junior program was launched in 2023 and 2024 so people of every age are able to enjoy soccer at Bayswater. This was a great success with over 100 children in six teams and a Kickstart program participating in the inaugural season (Kickstart, U8, U9, U11, U13, U16 Boys and U10 Girls). The program has already doubled in size by season 2026.

The club prides its self on exceptional behaviour both on and off the pitch with a family oriented culture that balances comeptitiveness on the field and socialising and supporting each other off it.

Our home ground is Guy Turner Reserve, which includes a four changeroom club pavilion (upgraded in 2012), two turf soccer pitches and lights to train under during the season. Our grounds and lights were fully upgraded between 2022 and 2024 allowing all teams to have the space they need for training, and allowing us to play night matches.
We are always looking for new players so if you are interested please contact the club through the website or our Facebook page for details.
