Nick King
President
Joined the club in 2012, and is often found shutting down opposing wingers as an accountable full-back. Nick is also part of the of the Australian Transplant National Team.
Nick leads the club as President, a role he is very experienced for through his years of volunteer service at multiple community clubs. He is committed to seeing the club grow to the next level.
Chris Woods
Treasurer
Joined the club in 2012 and is a technical centre midfielder with an impressive highlight reel of free kicks and long range goal of the year style strikes as well as an excellent penalty record.
Behind the scenes he keeps the club on track through thorough financial management to ensure it afford to do what it needs to do each year.
Mark Ellison
Social/Functions
Joined the club in 2010 and is an uncompromising centre back and defensive midfielder who is a vital part of the success of the senior team. Can strike a ball from distance as well, whack.
Is as big a presence around the club off it as well as on, and will be busy this year organising social/functions which is where the club truly excels.
Silas Fisher
Marketing/Sponsorship
Joined the club in 2019 and quickly established himself as a regular in the senior team as an energetic, tough and uncompromising right back and other positions.
Has joined the committee looking to help out the running of the club and junior launch in 2024 with a focus on marketing and sponsorship.
David Forster
Vice President
Long term player who has spent most of his senior career at GTR, first joining in 2010 and was part of the later Bayside Premier League championship winning teams. Forzy is a tireless left footed full-back or midfield destroyer, shuttling back and forth between the boxes.
David is a volunteer who gets busy in the club’s operations and as VP is key in ensuring that matchday is set up each week and is running smoothly.
Liam Brimmer
Registrar
As much of a fixture as any at the club, Brim has called GTR home since about 2003. He is a sweeper who reads the play well and tends to go a bit Beckenbauer at some point in each game, seeing him even score the odd goal from open play after carrying the ball up the pitch.
Brim is always helping out (can prepare a good meal for 60) and this year will be helping the club in particular through the Registrar role.
Jess Oakey
Social/Functions
Jess brings years and years of experience in sporting clubs and a new set of eyes to the running of BSSC socials and functions. Through her business she is well and truly across the socials and will help the club tell its story online.
Kyle Chandler
Secretary / Junior Project Chair
Arrived at Shark Park in 2011 via Bayswater Indoor and was part of the 2011 and 2013 Bayside Premier League championship senior teams. A striker and wide player on either flank usually, has moved into the centre of midfield as club captain since 2018.
With two young children, is particularly interested in helping the club launch and grow its junior program. Works in the Council sphere so will look to help the club with its long term goals using that experience.
Stu McManis
Bar/Canteen Manager
Stu joined us in 2020 after many years playing in Sydney, comfortably slotting into the back lines of BSSC teams.
He has taken on the incredibly important job of overseeing the ‘hospitality’ section of the club utilising years of experience in those industries. He also can help the creative parts of club operations (advertising etc), is there anything he can’t do?
Eva Orlovski-Oliver
Grants
Eva joined the club in late 2011 but due to injury didn’t play until 2014, picking up three championship medals and three cup winners medals in the Bayside FA. Usually found wide as a full back or winger
After over a decade as Secretary, Eva has taken over the Grants portfolio while remaining a vital and valuable source of knowledge for the club committee across all aspects of its operations.
