Our Junior Philosophy

Our philsophy is based upon four pillars of Equality, Respect, Community and Development. This is our committment to our members and expectation of them also as we develop these young people both on and off the pitch. Read more about what we are about below.

2026 Information

All programs training and home games based at Guy Turner Reserve, Bayswater.

Details below still being confirmed, at this stage based on last year we are looking at:

Kickstart Program (4-6 years): 10am – 10:45am Saturdays – GTR

U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U14 and U16-18 Boys, U10-11 Girls and potentially others

Training – Guy Turner Reserve – one weekly session 60-90 minutes between 5pm and 6:30pm on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday nights.

Match day for all: Saturday mornings.

11-a-side (U17-18)	16-17	$280	35 minute x 2 halves full-pitch Saturday AM matches 18 rounds – April to September Training as part of the full senior program (60-90 minute weeknight training session x 1-2)

Our Journey

As part of the strategic planning process conducted by the club in 2021, a main focus for the club’s future was to plan for the launch of a junior program in 2023/2024. 15 children were born to long-term club members in the previous five years, the club was ready to build a program for the next generation so they can enjoy club life at Bayswater Strikers just like their mums and dads have. Bring your friends too!

A strategic working group was formed to get everything ready for a pilot program in 2023 and a full launch in 2024. Generous financial support from Knox City Council, the State Government, the Van Egmond family and Mark Murphy provided the group with the resources to get what was needed to launch.

It’s an exciting time to be at Bayswater!

Despite setting out to have a modest program in 2024 of about 15-20 Kickstart kids, the community got behind the club and it grew to over 100 children in its first season! Amazing! We cannot wait to see where this will grow to, and establish Bayswater as a huge player for all ages and genders from 4 years old to well over 50!

Our Plan – Completed! But the work continues!

2021/2022 – getting financial support to make it possible – Complete

2023 – getting the program ready (equipment, coaching etc) and running a pilot – Complete

2024 – junior teams at a 4, 5 and 6 year old level at the brand new Guy Turner Reserve.

2025 and beyond – growth and keep getting kids on the park!
