As the start to season 2026 approaches, Bayswater Strikers is excited to announce support from another new sponsor, El Chivi.

In 2026 you’ll see the El Chivi logo displayed via signage around the club and through our social media platforms, along with some exciting player of the round supported initiatives.

Having the support of a local business like El Chivi is hugely important as we look to deliver for our community in providing a fantastic place for all to play the great game. We’d like to thank Anna & Marty plus the whole El Chivi crew for their support this season.

El Chivi is Melbourne’s first and only Uruguayan steak sandwich “Chivito food truck”.

The chivito “The apex of the sandwich making arts” as quoted by Anthony Bourdain is the unofficial national dish of Uruguay. Much like fish and chips to the UK, burgers to America, the chivito is to Uruguay and now they bring it to Melbourne to revolutionize the way we eat steak sandwiches.

Established in 2015, El Chivi Food truck uses locally sourced ingredients, quality scotch fillet steak, melting in your mouth and tender to eat, using only the freshest and finest salad and pickled ingredients, layered on freshly baked artisan bread. All of this is done from their distinctive food truck inspired by the rustic houses of Colonia, Uruguay. Be sure to check them out at their hangout, details below.
