The Bayswater Strikers Soccer Club has been informed of the official retirement (from coaching) by Mark Murphy. We as a club cannot thank “Murph” enough for the tireless effort and contribution he has put in throughout the years. Needless to say the club would not be the same without his influence and guidance.

Mark joined the Bayswater Strikers Soccer Club at the beginning of the 2000 season, taking the role of player/coach of the newly formed reserves side.

In 2005 Mark was promoted to senior coach and was integral in fostering a fantastic environment and culture throughout the club. Mark’s hard work paid off on numerous occasions, lifting an array of trophies throughout his decorated coaching career. Not only has Mark been a huge influence on the success of our teams on the pitch, he has also helped shape the direction of the club as a whole, setting Bayswater Strikers up for a very bright future.

As a testament to Mark’s commitment to the club and its future, we’re extremely thankful for a generous donation towards our junior program as the club continues to build for the future.

Everyone wishes Mark the very best moving forward with whatever life brings his way. We’re hoping to still see him propping up the bar at Guy Turner for years to come.
