The committee and members of BSSC were saddened to hear of the passing of former player Tony Butler late last week. We send our sincere condolences to Tony’s family and friends at this difficult time.

Tony is a senior championship winner (pictured top left next to Murph) who played across a number of positions in the back half. He was loved by his teammates on the field as a hard but fair player who always gave his all, who supported his mates putting the team first always. Off the field, so many have reflected that he had such a great sense of humour who always had a smile on his face. He was kind and caring to all and exactly the kind of person that makes a community club great.

All of the BSSC senior teams over the weekend wore black armbands and observed a minute of silence to honour him.

We will miss him greatly, Rest In Peace Tony from all at Bayswater Strikers SC.
