We would love to formally announce the induction of the eighth and newest life member of the Bayswater Strikers Soccer Club, Samantha Gemenis. Sammy was endorsed by unanimous vote by the members of the club at the AGM last Saturday.

Sammy is a richly deserving addition to this exclusive club, having arrived as a 13 year old, straight into the senior program. Since then she has been part of the furniture for 20 years as a skilled player, winning individual awards and being part of silverware winning teams and being a huge presence of the field also as a friend to all at Shark Park.

Along with many years on the pitch, she has helped us get where we are today through years of service on the commitee, including four years on the Executive as Treasurer. She is now Head Coach of our Women’s program and was integral in the launch of the second women’s team this year.

There are many more amazing things that can be said about Sammy and we encourage you to reminisce and share your stories with her when you see her next. In the meantime please join us in congratulating Sammy for her induction into the special Life Members Club.
