Good morning everyone!

Thank you for joining our junior program in 2024. Please find below some important updates and information as we head towards the new season! Apologies that there is a lot of information here, I have pinned it so you can come back and refer to it whenever you need!

TEAMS

We are recruiting for all teams at the moment to all of your schools and we encourage you to share information with your networks as much as possible.

At this stage we are looking at catering for these age groups:

Kickstart Introductory Program – 3-6 years

Under 8 Boys/Mixed

Under 9 Boys/Mixed

Under 10/11 Boys (possibly two – U10 and U11)

Under 10/11 Girls

Under 12/13 Boys

Under 16 Boys

We have the majority of players for each, however need your help to get a full group in! Get around us on social media!

REGISTRATION

Thank you for everyone who has registered through our online platform. It is very important to get your details in through the platform – if you haven’t had a chance to, please do so when you can to assist our planning via https://registration.dribl.com/club/3914

PAYMENTS AND FEES

All of our fees are taken offline via Direct Debit or via Cash or Card through our Treasurer, Chris Woods. Our first instalment for your child’s junior fees is due by the end of this week, please reach out to Chris via cwoods.bssc@outlook.com.au if you would like to discuss further.

JUNIOR PLAYER – BANK DETAILS
Are available through the club.

Junior fees for 2024 are as follows:

• Kickstart Program (Ages 3 to 6) – $120

• Under 8s, Under 9s, Under 10s or Under 11s (Ages 7 to 10) – $230

• Under 12s, Under 13s or Under 16s (Ages 11 to 15) – $250

PRESEASON – STARTING SUNDAY 3 MARCH 9AM-10AM AT GUY TURNER RESERVE

We will be kicking off our preseason with some training sessions for all players Under 8 and above on Sunday 3 March from 9am to 10am at Guy Turner Reserve. These sessions will continue until we get full access to the ground on April 1.

We will be breaking up into age groups and running through some training and looking forward to seeing our teams forming before our eyes! Our Kickstart program will commence in April.

SEASON START AND TRAINING

Matches: Round One for all competitive grades and the commencement of the Kickstart program will be Saturday April 20th. We will not know the times of the fixtures until closer to the start except to say that matches will be between 9am and 12pm.

Training: Once our teams are together, coaches and families in consultation with the club will decide on a time for training for one 45-60 minute session between 5pm and 7pm on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday night.

SUPPORTING THE COACHES – ASSISTANTS AND TEAM MANAGERS

The club is getting ready to announce our inaugural coaches who will support our new players in their first season at Guy Turner Reserve. We also ask parents to consider whether they might be able to help during the season as an Assistant Coach (to help at training and matches in a hands-on support role) or Team Manager (to help coordinate the team week-to-week and be a link between the parents/families and the club). We will be looking to confirm these for each team in March.

REFEREES

For our home games (9 per team) the club needs to supply a referee for junior matches. If you have interest in joining a “referee pool” to help out where you can or more regularly, please let myself or someone from the committee know and we can support you to complete a course and get the required equipment. This is really important! Please reach out!

CLOTHING SIZES

Thanks for giving your sizes as part of the registration process. We should have all of the Macron sizes on hand at the first Preseason session on March 3 if you would like to double check for your child.
